Lower Manhattan/Jamaica-JFK Transportation Project, New York, New
York
SYSTRA, in a joint venture with PARSONS, was selected by the
Metropolitan Transportation Authority, Lower Manhattan Development
Corporation, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and the
New York City Economic Development Corporation to prepare an
alternatives analysis and Environmental Impact Statement. The
project will comply with the provisions of the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), New York State Environmental
Quality Review Act (SEQRA), and the Federal Transit Administration’s
requirements for major capital investment (New Starts).
SEPTA General Engineering Contract for Architectural/Engineering
Services 2005-2009, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
SYSTRA, as a sub-consultant, was part of the team that was awarded
the SEPTA GEC contract. We are eager to begin work on the task
orders issued.
WMATA Metro Matters Rail Yards Expansion, Greenbelt and Shady Grove,
Maryland
For the Washington Metropolitan Area
Transit Authority, SYSTRA is part of the design/build team, led by
Hensel Phelps Construction, responsible for modifying Greenbelt and
Shady Grove rail yards. The Greenbelt rail yard work will include
the construction of a new, 72,000 square foot facility and
improvements to the existing rail car facility. The Shady Grove rail
yard expansion will include a new four-track, 16-bay service and
inspection maintenance facility.
Systems Integration
Under a separate contract, SYSTRA is performing systems integration
for the rail yards expansion project. SYSTRA designed the
SSSC-SI database application to identify and track project
interfaces, tests, training requirements, and system safety and
security certifiable elements for the many systems and tasks
required to successfully complete this project. The reports
generated will keep the design, installation, and testing team
members as well as management current on the status of items that
need to be addressed.
AMTRAK State of Good Repair and ADA Station Survey
Assessments, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
SYSTRA was recently selected to perform several station survey
assessments to determine the useful life expectancy of existing
station components and systems and identify the absence of any
systems typically found in a passenger railroad station environment,
such as air conditioning or exterior lighting.
